Plans and specifications for thefoundations are sent with everytower, and a plan for the erectionof the tower and platform. Asthe structure is built in shortsections, which are tied togetherby socket connections instead ofbeing riveted, the erection can bedone by a local mechanic. We fiteverything carefully in our shop,so that it will readily go togetherat destination. Prices, plans and specificationswill be cheerfully sent to any oneconsidering the erection of sucha tower. About the most essential factor in connection with a country or suburbanhome is the quantity and character of the water supply, and the means em-ployed to utilize it about the house and grounds. This is just as much an engineering problem (but on a smaller scale)as that of providing and constructing a suitable system for towns and cities,and should be entrusted to competent hands. The main points to be considered are three in number: First : The nature and location of the source of supply. Second : The kind of motive powder to use for elevating the water. Third: The best means of storing the desired quantity of water at therequisite height to give the necessary pressure. The first difficulty is best solved by some one on the ground, who can in-vestigate all the circumstances affecting the problem.
