| Transcript | Watching the Sea from Douglas Head. The Head is to Douglas what the Devil's Dyke is to Brighton, only more so. It is a rugged foreland of laminated shale, rising to a height of 320 feet. Under the Head are the famous bathing-basins and swimming-baths of Port Skillion, and to watch the evolutions of swimmers herein, crowds of sightseers flock up the steep ascent of the Head. |
