DescriptionWatkins meter.jpg	Watkins Exposure Meter. One end has removable cap concealing a timer chain: one swing equals one second, I was told. The other end (also with cap) would contain sensitive paper and a coloured window; the exposure time would be when paper exposed to sunlight matched the coloured screen. The rotatable rings around the cylinder indicated seconds and the f-stop/aperture required. They are marked and 'AE' (aperture/exposure?); 'D' (scaled 2 to 500); 'S' (scaled 1 to 250); the remaining ring label is missing. Engraved: 'Watkins Exposure Meter. Patent. Sole Makers R Field & Co, Birmingham'
