Description
English: Cecil Calavan, a Pearl Harbor survivor who served aboard the dreadnought battleship USS Utah (BB 31), salutes the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island color guard as they present the colors during a Pearl Harbor remembrance ceremony at the station in Oak Harbor, Wash., Dec. 6, 2013. The morning of Dec. 7, 1941, Japanese bombers staged a surprise attack on U.S. military forces in Hawaii. The day after the attack, before a joint session of Congress, President Franklin D.
