editPlease can someone add a Wikidata property, that will take a Qnnn value and link to the relevant item on Wikidata, as we have in {{Institution}}? Andy Mabbett (talk) 16:20, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

- Hello,
- I would gladly do that, but you need to tell me more.
- Normally, the wikidata link can be detected automatically. I don't understand the purpose of the parameter. (After investigation, I think I know: they d'ont use it to access wikidata informations but to add a category. Not very useful)
- What informations do you want to retrieve from wikidata ?
- Best regards Liné1 (talk) 06:00, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Liné1: I don't want to retrieve anything from Wikidata; nor is there a facility, yet, to "detect" such links automatically. Nor do I want to use it to "add a category". I want to store the relevant Wikidata ID, so that when there eventually is Commons/Wikddata integration, it can be retrieved by a bot. As I said, we already do this in, for example, {{Institution}}, so this should not be controversial. Andy Mabbett (talk) 09:04, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Pigsonthewing: Sorry, I still did not understand.
- You cannot compare {{Cultivar}} which is used directly in category/galleries and {{Institution}} which is used in template like {{Van Gogh - Starry Night - Google Art Project}}.
- Also, the Commons/Wikidata integration is active. We can retrieve data from Wikidata.
- I will gladly do any modifications you want to {{Cultivar}}, so there will not be any controversial. But I need to know how to do it, and therefore I need to know how it will be used

parent1-parent2 functionality missing?
editdoes it work, at all? or what did I do wrong in Category:Tulipa 'Cartouche'? Retired electrician (talk) 07:52, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hello Retired electrician
- yes it works. Check my correction in Category:Tulipa 'Cartouche'
- Best regards Liné1 (talk) 08:38, 24 July 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! could you please check my next entry there. Maybe it could be tidier.
- Is there a way to suppress linking in mother/father fields, at all? Stud books often list them like "Seedling 456", these will never have any page or category. Retired electrician (talk) 09:04, 24 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hello Retired electrician
- Your next modification seems perfect.
- You can put |Seedling 456|| it will display "Seedling 456" black(no link) x ?
- You can also put ||| it will not display the line at all.
- But there is currently no way to only display "Seedling 456".
- I am not sure I can easely do better ;-)
