Pirro Prifti was born in Tirana, Albania in 1951 He is currently Professor Doctor, Lecturer, and Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at UET. Currently Lecturer at UET with 44 years experience, with profession of Specialization as Anesthesiologist-Reanimator. He received the title of `Doctor of Science` in 1996. The title of` Associate Professor` in 2001. He received the title `Professor` in 2015. He earned degrees at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Tirana. He is the publisher of several medical textbooks and many medical science articles. Early in his career as a physician he worked as a Physician and Head of Zapod Health Centers, Myc-Mames Kukes Later, as a Specialist Anesthesiologist & Resuscitator at QSU Tirana. Worked at EMS (Emergency Medical Service) during the war years in Kosovo and beyond. He was the Director of the Hospital Directorate at the Ministry of Health. He has served as the first Dean and lecturer of the Tirana University of Higher Nursing School (today the Faculty of Medical Technical Sciences of Tirana), later as Head of Department of the Department of Medical Technical Sciences at the Public University "Alexander Moisiu" Durres. He is now Dean of the Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences at the European University of Tirana -U.E.T. He has written and published dozens of articles as a publicist on the problems of Higher Education and Health, as well as many publications in the serious Albanian media.

Actively participates in the problems of higher education reform, in particular that of Higher Medical Vocational Education.
