Your edit to [[Template:FPCnomNewerPreload}} appears quite controversial to some users − see thread on Commons_talk:Featured_picture_candidates#Downsampled_or_not_downsampled_.3F.

I personally have no opinion on the subject. That said, I reverted you in the hope that the discussion over there would go more smoothly than it started.

Of course, in case of consensus for the change over there, I would see no problem in anyone revoking me.

Speedy tag

Hi I was reviewing/processing speedy deletion requests I saw File:2009-10-Prague.jpg which listed as copy violation because its on google images, google images is just a search tool. I checked for photographs using GI and couldnt identify a photo that matches it can you plaese provide a link to the image on a web page. Gnangarra 10:18, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

that photo is smaller than the one uploaded here, anyway I found the source http://www.paulocoelho.com/en/photos4journalists.php its available for re-use though it apparently it wasnt taken by the uploader and the licensing isnt sufficiently clear for us to host so I've deleted. I'm sorry to say that the image hasn't too high quality. The angle is a bit off, the chromatic noise is way to evident and it has blown out shadows and highlight. _→AzaToth 20:59, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

FP photo advice

Hey Azatoth, do you know where one can ask for advice on whether certain photos would be suitable for FP candidates? I have some aviation pics that I think are candidates, and am organising full res versions from the photographer, but I am looking for some opinion on whether they are worth putting thru the process. They are all good, apart from the resolution, most of them would easly pass FPC. Especially the last one would be superb _→AzaToth 20:46, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

OK, great. Thanks for your opinion. They will all be in higher resolution before too long; he will be processing them before too long. The QF 747 flying over Moscow is awesome. The guy goes "spotting" at his house, with a 1200mm telescope. It's awesome stuff. That type of photo is his specialty - more of his photos - and we have permission for the lot. Anyway, thanks for opinion. I'll ask one more person what they think as well, and then will work on getting the highest chance ones listed on FP. Hi, just to say that in the link of the original work, there is an about page with the licence, and it is CC-By-SA with "You are free to copy, share, sell, remix, modify, fold, bend, staple, and mutilate Mimi & Eunice but you may not prohibit others from doing the same with any resulting copies or “derivative works“.". Regarding your message - the robot is currently uploading images from the Flickr group for Wiki Loves Monuments 2011 in Romania. The code suggests a name that I modify by hand. For the images you mentioned, I did not recognized the momnument, so I left the original name, along with the monument's unique code.
