All of your Tabernacle images of works by Michael Osnis, and all of your photos by Daniel Ventura edit

Hi. webshots.com is "Copyright ©1997-2007 AG.com, Inc. All Rights Reserved." Please forward permission for all of your Tabernacle images of works by Michael Osnis, and all of your photos by Daniel Ventura, to OTRS. Thanks!   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 21:46, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also, the Hebrew talk page makes no reference to the GFDL in the section linked. All it says is (paraphrased) "You can find 74 more pictures; please put creator's name "Michael Osnis", which is insufficient. -- Avi 15:55, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK OK OK. I asked him specifically to give permission as GFDL and here it is: [1]. Ori229

No, I am afraid not. Firstly, it only says that he permits, it does not say that he permanently licenses the pictures under an acceptable release. Since, as Jeff pointed out, the pictures are copyrighted, without a clear statement (and it can be in Hebrew, enough of us understand it) of irrevocable license, the pictures are unacceptable. Thank you. -- Avi 06:34, 21 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Read his talk page. I ask him if he permits the pictures to be uploaded as GFDL, and he says he does. Isn't it enough? Don't be a Nudnik. Ori229

Hello, Ori229!

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

some Greek monetary in the Christian quarter of Jerusalem. Ori
thank you for the information, but there is not only one greek monastery in the Christian quarter. There is dozens of Greek monasteries in this quarter, so it doesn't help enough.... Djampa (talk) 10:09, 16 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Emblem of Benjamin edit

hello, that's me again whith another question. In the mosaic of Givat Mordechai synagogue, we can see amongst others, the emblem of Benjamin, that represent a can, a fork and a spoon. What does it means? does it symbolise the fact that benjamin was the youngest son and therefore they have choosen tools for little children to play in the Sandbox?

thank you Djampa (talk) 12:58, 6 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Maybe "Benjamin is a wolf that raveneth; in the morning he devoureth the prey, and at even he divideth the spoil", and these are regular fork, spoon and a jar of water, by which he eats the prey. Ori229 (talk) 19:25, 8 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sukkah Pictures edit

I came across some pictures you took that look like they were taken at some sort of Sukkah museum that teaches the halachos of Sukkahs. Can you please tell me where you took these pictures? Is this something that can be visited year-round? Thanks. --Danthecan (talk) 23:45, 17 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's in Israel, near Modiin. Only around Sukkuth. Ori229 (talk) 19:01, 25 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
