Entry was not definitive. Why have you deleted the file? A JAXA official already clarified to me with an email that their assets can be uploaded to the side under compatible licenses. Inclusion of such Twitter images was stated in the email. I can redirect it to you if you wish. Some people have no time for COM:VRT or are scared from it so they don't do it. Hi Мункач Варош, please see COM:Dupe. A duplicated file here on commons is a duplicated file if it is exactly the same file or a scale down version of this file. As you see File:1000 гривен аверс.png is a lower quality image, different brightness etc.., it is by this definition not a duplicate. And it is in use, too. If you want to get the low quality version removed, please delink (remove) the usage of this file in all external projects first and after this feel free to start a regular deletion request.--Wdwd (talk) 08:59, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

User:Keio Cheer Unicorns

I see you've deleted a lot of this user's uploads as CSD G7. While many of the images were recently uploaded, many of them were not. The images seem to pretty clearly be in scope and there has not been a compelling reason for deletion that I can see. While some have argued for courtesy deletions in cases like this, I am not convinced and policy seems pretty clear that these should have a deletion request at the very least since they weren't recently uploaded. I checked the images before: Most a recent uploads and the uploader wishes to remove it, so G7 is from my view ok, some older and not in use and I handled it as a courtesy deletion. Some files from his nomination are/were in use (=in scope) like File:Yagami River.jpg were I denied the deletion. Maybe I oversee some other files - Do you have some exmaples so I can recheck it? In general you are right: Such bigger requests should be handled by a regular DR with a dedicated file list instead of a SD - sorry for that; Will change this next time.--Wdwd (talk) 09:17, 13 July 2024 (UTC)

Regarding this, did you see the reason given when reviewing the request? The edit message suggested you weren't sure what was being requested. I'm asking because otherwise it seems like a really bureaucratic interpretation of G7, considering the file got immediately overwritten before being added anywhere. I'm assuming that, if I select the wrong file, the proper way to fix it wouldn't involve waiting around for a day so someone can review a {{SD}} request before I can do a reupload. hinnk (talk) 19:16, 28 July 2024 (UTC)

Hi, I wasn't sure what you mean with "original version"? Is this the first file version? (dated "02:10, 28 July 2024") If you could clarify this, I'm sure a solution could be found. Yes, sorry if that was ambiguous, but I was requesting that the first version uploaded be deleted (as opposed to deleting the entire file history, which definitely would've been an issue). The way I interpreted G7 was that the first file falls under "unused content" (since it was only the second file was used), so there wouldn't be an issue. I assume that's well within the spirit of the guideline, since the alternative (waiting for deletion before reuploading) is the same result but slower. hinnk (talk) 09:31, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

Hi, I'm not sure: for simple tasks you can use browser add ons like VisualFileChange.js (some kind of javascript) to add a free text like templates. But this does not the rename/move the file, someone else (with move rights) has to do this job afterwards. I assume a mass name change should be done via bot as a specialized bot request. See COM:BWR for more details, where you can put and discuss new ideas about work jobs for bots. (if you don't want to program and operate your own bot.)--Wdwd (talk) 08:19, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

Hi, weiss nicht was ich da finden sollte, war da nicht mit dabei. Jedenfalls, diese Datei hat kein Freigabeticket welches vom COM:VRT (Support-Team) eingetragen wurde (wie auch von mir beim Schliessen des Löschantrags kurz angegeben). Sollte da eine Freigabe bestehen und diese aus welchen Gründen "verloren" ging, ist es sinnvoll, mit den genauen Details (Datum derE-Mail/Absender etc..) im COM:VRTN (noticeboard) nachzufragen. E-mails sollten im Ticket-System nicht verloren gehen. Hinweis: ich bin nicht (mehr) im Support-Team tätig. Die Sache ist aber nicht weiter dramatisch. Selbst wenn aktuell keine Freigabe besteht und diese aktuell nachgereicht wird: Sobald eine gültige Freigabe vom Rechteinhaber dem Support-Team vorliegt, wird die Datei wieder hergestellt.--Wdwd (talk) 07:02, 12 September 2024 (UTC)

So it's a derivative work and we need a permission under a free license from the artist and/or copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder of the original work (or maybe you know her/him) please contact the support team via email, where you can also find detailed information how to process. thanks for responding. They are exactly screenshots from their own videos. My uniquely designed multi-dimensional multiplexer device does not take photos. It makes high-speed videos. that I can't upload to Wikipedia. That's why I take screenshots and paste in pain and save as jpg. so that later when it is a page I can explain better. For now I'm building photo galleries. When Wikipedia allows me, I will upload videos that will be better to understand my theory. or for theories of other researchers. Delete request

I was upset to see how you thoughtlessly deleted my own photo (a self-portrait) at the request of an unregistered user who doubted even his nomination. And after receiving a response from me that it was my own work, you did not find anything better than to simply delete it. In general, I do not see a big problem in this. The image was once uploaded to be used in the participant card on the Wikinews project. And the copy was indeed taken from my Facebook account. But such blindness is somewhat outrageous.
