Scope Nominated as the most valued image on Commons within the scope:
Stratocumulus lacunosus clouds
Used in Global usage
Reason probably the best image of this scope in Commons. This picture can perhaps be put in the wilder scope "lacunosus". The lacunosus variety exists in three genera of clouds: Stratocumulus, Altocumulus and Cirrocumulus. There are no pictures of Cirrocumulus in Commons. Mi picture and the two other one I have spotted in Commons share similar defects: lack of contrast, blurryness and noise. Nevertheless, these defects are less intense in mine, I think. Plus this is a geolocated image (although this is perhaps not that important with clouds). -- Berru (talk)

Do you mean the lacunosus variety, or the stratocumulus lacunosus clouds?--Berru (talk) 20:54, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The category: Stratocumulus lacunosus. To show that there are groups, types and subtypes, in short a hierarchy in the clouds. I realized that there is a category lacunosa but is not specific in itself. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 05:46, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done.--Berru (talk) 11:05, 25 July 2011 (UTC) I made the following actergories, with (I hope) cognate sub-categorization : Altocumulus lacunosus clouds, Stratocumulus lacunosus clouds and Lacunosus cloud varieties. There should be a Cirrocumulus lacunosus cloud category for completedness, but at this point it would be empty.[reply]
