Thanks for noticing. I have not found any proper licence for it as it was uploaded originally by another user. Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Dear Averater,

The 2013 Picture of the Year competition has ended and we are pleased to announce the results: We shattered participation records this year — more people voted in Picture of the Year 2013 than ever before. In both rounds, 4070 different people voted for their favorite images. Additionally, there were more image candidates (featured pictures) in the contest than ever before (962 images total).

• In the first round, 2852 people voted for all 962 files
• In the second round, 2919 people voted for the 50 finalists (the top 30 overall and top 2 in each category)

We congratulate the winners of the contest and thank them for creating these beautiful images and sharing them as freely licensed content:

1. 157 people voted for the winner, an image of a lightbulb with the tungsten filament smoking and burning.
2. In second place, 155 people voted for an image of "Sviati Hory" (Holy Mountains) National Park in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.

Dendrobium plumpstomense

Hallo Averater, could you please check in your records the name Dendrobium plumpstomense? I can not find this name. Your picture is very similar with Dendrobium nobile.

It was a very old specimen with a very old sign... I'll ask the staff at Gothenburg Botanical Garden later this week if they have more information on it. Because you are right in that it probably isn't a correct name and that Dendrobium nobile is indeed very similar. I've now been back at the garden. It had another sign also that had some more information. It is a cultivar (Dendrobium 'Plumptonense'), very similar to D. nobilis but with somewhat bigger flowers and with more yellow than nobilis. They were right next to each other so it was easy to compare them. That name does give some hits on google and here is some more information I found: "Dendrobium plumptonense (D. Cybele nobilior X D. nobile nobilius). — A richly-coloured hybrid, approaching the latter parent in colour. Exhibited by Messrs. Mansell & Hatcher." and "W. R. Lee, Esq., Heywood (gr. Mr. Woodhouse), was awarded a First class Certificate for Dendrobium X plumptonense, a hybrid between D. Cybele nobilior x D. nobile nobilius, a fine bold flower of pleasing colour." source --Averater (talk) 15:14, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

The "International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants" says ( I read it in the German WP): Not in italics, with an apostrophe and beginning with a capital letter. E.g. Paphiopedilum 'Maudiae' or Clematis alpina 'Ruby' (sample of enWP) Greetings Orchi (talk) 21:17, 9 April 2015 (UTC)

For me that template reads: "Lua error in Module:Wikidata4Bio at line 731: attempt to index local 'entities' (a nil value).". I hoped you knew what it it that is missing. Blomman i mina bilder är ganska ung och jag tycker nog beskrivningen stämmer ganska bra (inom vad jag tycker man kunde förvänta sig beroende på olika odlingsmiljöer). Men jag är verkligen ingen expert och det har hänt förr att skyltar hamnat fel. Det enda jag tänker på är det som står på din länkade sida om centraltagg. A new star

Nu när projektet rullat i snart fem år och landat drygt 8000 uppdrag tänkte jag mig tillägg av en ytterligare uppmuntrans-stjärna. Idén väcktes av Refer to My Wikidata page som tyckte det var synd att han erövrat största stjärnan redan vid sitt första försök. Jag tänkte därför att det vore trevligt med en mega-stjärna, som delas ut vid 100 utförda månadsuppdrag. Jag gjorde en på prov, men har inte alltför bra bildredigeringsmöjligheter, förutom att det skulle kännas bättre att den gick i stil med de fyra som redan finns. Den kunde vara guldigare, eller rödare, eller ha ett lager stjärna till innanför de som redan ligger i stora stjärnan. Är det här månne något som du kunde ordna till vårt projekt!?
