Authorization for Image:Roymasonxanadu.JPG

Hello Pimke, I'm trying to understand the contents of licences... and that's no so easy. Someone has just explained to me what the "fair use" was. After his explanations, it seems to me that the current image have no available licence (source: en:Image:Roymasonxanadu.JPG). So, I think that the image should be deleted. Commons:Geocoding

Hello Pimke, at the Geocoding project we have noticed that you uploaded a number of pictures from one of the less covered regions on earth. Maybe you could consider adding coordinates to some of your images. They will show up on the WikiMiniAtlas and the Google Earth Commons-layer. Sure tagging all photos will take some time and depends on availability of satellite images, but please start from photos of most beautiful places in Poland.

Could you please ask users of Polish Wikipedia for participation in this project? Some time ago I asked Bocianski to do so, and he placed message on common forum, but I feel that targeted messages on specialized projects (articles geocoding, Polish cities/voivodships/ect wiki projects) could be much more effective. Thank you.

Dziękuję. Takich odpowiedzialnych ludzi oby więcej. Nie wiem co wg Ciebie ma moja praca na commons do tego co zrobiłem i za co odebrano mi uprawnienia na plWiki. Widać masz mierne pojęcie o mojej działalności a głos Twego pokroju jest postrzegany przez niektórych zadufanych w sobie użytkowników commons za dobry omen.

Dla wytłumaczenia Twego odpowiedzialnego głosu wstawiam Tobie zgodę otrzymaną od WKU na wykorzystywanie ich materiałów. Ale nie wiem, czy będziesz na tyle chętny aby przejrzeć do jakich wstawionych zdjęć kilku mądrali się z tego projektu czepia: File:Zgoda Komendanta WKU Gdynia - Wikipedia.jpeg oraz File:BiuroHydrograficzneMarynarkiWojennej - zgoda.JPG. Tak się składa, ze tego typu zgody, trzeba wychodzić i być upierdliwym do bólu. Działania GeorgeHH, Siebranda, którzy nawet nie pofatygowali się aby wysłać maila w języku angielskim do ww. instytucji (są na stronach internetowych) a zarzucają mi łamanie praw autorskich są nikczemne. Nikczemny był również Twój głos, bo nawet nie spojrzałeś o co chodzi. Doprawdy przestaje mnie dziwić opinia o Polakach na świecie... Joymaster 18:11, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Pimke - thanks for your words at the Deadmin-Request. I was already on the way to aks you, what there actually happens. I think, Joaymaster don't understand what he has done. And how bad this for the standing of all Administrators at these Project is. Admins have to serve - also against there own opinion. Or better - they don't have to work against the project, if they have an other opinion. Mistakes can happen - but what he has done... was an absolutely NoGo. re: Polish translation

Hi Pimke, thanks for your translation work! It's much appreciated.

The summary box content is inserted via JavaScript, MediaWiki:Upload.js. Indeed I don't think I wrote that anywhere so if you could add a note where one is needed that would be great. :)

Unfortunately it's not really possible to have a template that has translated parameters, but I inserted basically what you wrote on my talk page, so have a look at plownwork and see if you think it is OK.

Thanks for uploading Image:Scharnhorst Valparaiso.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multilicense GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Jewish cemeteries

Hello Pimke.

I have seen you have uploaded a lot of pictures from jewish cemeteries. I have found a little problem, that is you have not linked each one with the original flickr page, just with the set, which makes the review much more difficult. Would you be so kind to add the corresponding link to each one?.

That way the FlickreviewR bot can take care of the review automatically (you have to add the {{flickrreview}} again).

Hallo Konrad. Kannst du bitte mal nachsehen, ob dieses Bild, das von dieser Stelle stammt, wirklich unter einer freien Lizenz veröfentlich wurde? Zudem wäre es interessant zu wissen, was bei ihrer Biografie steht. Wie lange hat sie noch aktiv gespielt? In der deutschsprachigen Wikipedia steht, noch bis 2008. Commons has a new policy on admin activity, Commons:Administrators/De-adminship, taken into use on June 13, 2007 (after a two-week poll on the proposed policy's talk page).

If you want to keep your adminship, you have to sign at Commons:Administrators/Inactivity section within 30 days. Note that if you don't make 5 admin actions in the following 5 months, you will then lose the adminship anyways.

I noticed you deleted this file - can you restore the full history of who uploaded and what disclosures they made at the time of the upload. This file was the Picture of the Day in August 2006, and I'm hoping that I can figure out who to contact it to get a proper license. I will mark it to be deleted in 7 days after you restore the history so that it won't hang around if I am unsuccessful and forget to ask you to redelete it after my research.
