Collaboration with Escola d'Art de Manresa (Manresa School of Art) is part of the initiative to involve art & design schools in the Wikimedia Movement's projects and goals.

Introduction

The collaboration with Escola d'Art de Manresa (Catalonia, Spain) has started i 2012-13 Academic Year with three students doing their internship in Amical Wikimedia. Their mission is to draw images for Wikipedia articles and publish them on Commons. This project lends students the opportunity to work on educational and informative illustrations, make their artwork known and join the Commons community of graphic authors.

Escola d'Art de Manresa, founded in 1902 to give art education to young workers, is now a public school under the auspices of the City Council of Manresa.

During the 2012-13 academic year, there are 3 student doing her internship in Amical Wikimedia, producing scientific illustration about geology phenomena:

  • Meritxell Campos
  • Míriam Cifre
  • Anna Mossella

Roser Comas is the theacher from the school, David Gómez the wikimedian tutor and Fidel Grandia (Amphos21 and Geomuseu UPC) the scientific advisor.
