  • I cannot answer the last question (seems that this was just the choice of the artist), but I also think that the windows, while being more or less transparent or gray for the most part, have a coloured border, red for the windows in the middle, blue for the windows on the right; it is better to see at the right. --Aristeas (talk) 17:45, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I reviewed the source files and indeed, the colours are not fringing, but rather faint elements of the stained glass, framing the larger clear parts of the windows. As far as I can see, the left side has virtually no such framing, while in the centre it is clearly red and blue on the right side. --DXR (talk) 22:39, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
