Our need is to not filter pthotos by resolution (Montage has a default checkbox to exclude pictures with less than 2MB, we don't want to exclude anything). Hi @Camelia.boban , how you set up the first round and decide on the thresholds on the technical elements of the images you want to include in your Montage campaign, is totally up to you to decide: please uncheck the box before activating the first round because that is the moment when all images that are within the technical limits are included in the Montage campaign.

Hello again @Ciell! Could you please help with the campaign or how to resolve a problem the 3 jurors are having right now? The 3 of them are not able to finish evaluating pictures in the third round. They cannot save the pictures in the end. The message they get is: "For ranking type rounds, the interface shows a rank-able list of images with limited metadata (the image's resolution). Must submit all rankings at once."

What threshold did you use for this round? I notice you had 214 tasks for the jurors in the rating round 2, and now again 214 tasks per juror for your ranking round 3. And per the instructions on Commons:Montage: "The ranking round has a 50 image limit."

Could you try deleting this round and creating a new round three with a higher threshold (and thus a smaller set of images for the finale round)? Ciell (talk) 15:43, 31 March 2023 (UTC)

Hi @Martin Hipangwa, the settings from the Montage end seem to be correct, so I think you are actually already seeing the start page of your camapign. You should see a "+Add round" notice below the title and your name as coordinator: please follow the steps described in Commons:Montage#Manual_for_coordinators to set up your rounds and start the process. Jury member Ngumenawe still has 2 unfinished tasks assigned to their name: as long as there are tasks in the current round still open, indeed Montage will not allow you to move to the next round.

If you need to replace a jury member for a some reason (they are unresponsive, suddenly became unavailable, etc) during an ongoing round, please see Help, my jury member is not available anymore!. Ciell (talk) 13:14, 7 July 2023 (UTC)

Hi @OtuNwachinemere, you should pause the round and then you can alter things like the deadline (and then click 'activate' again). Is that what you mean? Ciell (talk) 06:40, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

Actually no @Ciell. I want to change Round File Settings in the first round of my campaign. The initial settings screened out all the photos and I wish to lower the bar a little to maybe 1MB. Thanks Wilson (talk) 17:41, 8 June 2023 (UTC)

Ah yes! Because the images have already been pulled into Montage. you'll need to delete the round and create a new first round. Just to make sure though: am I observing correctly the round has not been activated yet? That would complicate things, but as long as you have not clicked the activate button you can create a new first round (after deleting the current one) until the round is how you want it to be. As far as I can see, the deadline is now extended to June 17th. @Ourytima, @Adoscam: the round is still paused and until it is activated again, Fabrice will not be able to finish the tasks assigned to him. I really don't know what happened that the tool couldn't load all the photos from commons category of the contest [2].

The tool was able to load 16 photos out of 494 photos uploaded during the campaign.

Could this be a technical issue?.

If Yes, can I close the campaign and reset it all over again?

If no, what should be the remedy?

FYI: with some random testing I was already able to find several very possible copyright violations in : Montage will turn these down because of the filters in the campaign, but please make sure to also manually check the uploaded images in your category and nominate the violations for speedy deletion, so we keep Commons as clean as possible. Problems when uploading files using the File List URL or File List

I needed to merge 4 Wikimedia Commons upload campaigns into 1 single Montage campaign. I encountered 4 problems during the Montage first round creation, of which the first is a fatal one:

1. When uploading files using a file list, or a file list URL (flat FTP file, or also from gist) the upload fails with an error "All files were disqualified because of wrong file type". The files where created on Wikimedia Commons with a standard jpg file extension while Montage seems only to accept jpeg. I was forced to use a category to be able to upload the files.
2. In the file list URL the application says it would allow for a "Google Sheet", but it doesn't. A Google Spreadsheet is not accessible.
3. When uploading a file list, the system still reports about "Importing category may take a while." Instead it should say "file list".
4. Another error is just a typo: Plase be patient.

Hi @TaronjaSatsuma, your campaign is here: wiki-loves-cosplay: you can add the jury members and photo's yourself.

I think to see that you don't have to judge a lot of images, so I can imagine skipping the yes/no round and start with the starring-round as a first round - only an advice. If you have jury members that are new to Montage you could also consider to just create a list of the 68 images in excel and ask all jurymembers to award a number of 1 to 10 to rank the best images, and have excel do the math for you. Also only meant as an alternative because sometimes people can find Montage's interface less easy than they expected.

If they are in fact a jury member and not a coordinator, make sure they login to their account on (for instance) pt.wikipedia.org and in the same browser visit commons.wikimedia.org. With this their account will be created here and connected to their main wikimedia login, and you can add them to the rounds as a jurymember later. In the meantime, both you and Alchimista already have the coordinator rights.

Issue with Montage Tool

Hi @Ciell, were currently in Round 2 of judging for WLM in Ireland and I can't finalise the round. I set the quota as 3 jurors per photo. We have 3 jurors, plus myself. I had to vote in this round because one of the jurors was unable. Even though there were 3 votes on every image, I still can't finalise it. I hoping you can help me out. Hi @Ciell, on the Irish competition. Our jurors are reporting that they cannot access the campaign. They have been added to the third round.

Second issue, when @Sameichel tries to extend the round 3 end date, an error is shown on the screen and the date for the round is not updated. The error is this

We experienced some capacity issues it seems, but now have worked with the WMF-cloud service team to increase the quota for Montage. Time-outs should now belong to the past again.

That said, as far as I can see @Sameichel is trying to set up the next round with three jury members who's account name does not exist on Commons: Martin Cregg, UsernameDilemma, PatriciaRJ. If these accounts under these exact names do exist on a different wiki project already, please have the jury members log in on that wiki and in the same browser window visit Commons, so SUL can do it's work and create the account on Commons. Just to be clear: WLM Ghana was granted extension of the WLM uploadcampaign under the condition that only the images uploaded from the initial upload window of 1-30 September would enter the international jury round. I can create one Montage campaign for you and the jury members 1 Sept - 31 Oct, so you can decide on the national winners for your own national competition and where you can manually select the top 10 for the international round from the results in that Montage campaign (by reviewing the upload dates of the images in your last round).

En utilisant ces dates de téléchargement spécifiques, Montage devrait théoriquement être en mesure de travailler à partir d'une seule catégorie, mais je n'ai pas d'expérience vécue en la matière - je vous mets juste en garde, haha.

And you will only have 1 upload campaign, categorizing all the images into the one category? Hi, @Ciell. Sorry to bother you but is there any chance to erase the second round? I made a mistake and I can't go to the 3rd roun without the 89 images from the 2nd round. Hi @Paula (WDU), technically you can delete the round and start again, but it will mean you'll loose the work done by the jurors in that round. Did you mean to set up a rating round instead of a ranking round? For ranking, best is to start the ranking round with below 40 images. You can set up as many rounds in Montage as needed to get to this number.

You can change settings from ongoing rounds by pausing the round (in the bottom of the round), and then the 'edit round' button in the top becomes clickable. It is not possible to change the type of round, or the images in the set for that round: in that case the jurors will need to start again. When in edit-mode, deleting a round is possible in the bottom of your screen.

• De la manière dont la campagne n'est pas configurée, elle inclura toutes les photographies de catégorie qui ont été uploadées entre le 15 septembre et le 15 décembre;
• Il n'est pas possible d'inclure des téléchargements futurs dans une campagne Montage, @Anai171.

As the coordinator you have to create the first round by clicking "Add Round", and filling the fields for the settings of the jury campaign. This is where you can add the members of the jury.
