ut. A Pásztón lakó rendtagok felhívtákMály József apát és jeles titkára, Hermann Engelbert figyelmét adologra. Közös megállapodás után Hermann, 1726-ban, benvuj-totta Mály József apát folyamodását, melvben azt kéri, hogy amátra-verebélyi birtokokat méltánvos áron megszerezhesse. A lépésazonban kissé korai volt, mert Mátra-Verebély ekkor még nemvolt a kir. fiscus kezén. De meg az is baj volt, hogy a kérvény-ben egy szóval sem érintették, mennyit hajlandók adni a birtok-testért. 1727-ben az apát megismételte a kérelmet.^ Kutasi János 1726. szept. i-én értesíti Hadersbach Cyrilljószágkormányzót, hogy a szepesi kamara levéltárában levő okira-tok szerint, Mátra-Verebély a hozzátartozó birtokokkal együtt nema pásztói apátságé, hanem a Csicseryeké, majd meg ezek magvaszakadtával a Keczer-családé voh s ettől szállt át a királyi fiscusra/ Zirczi ap. levt.: Act. abb. Paszt. fasc. - U. o. f. 27. nr. 18. 27. nr. 19. és 22.

cr Az egri püspök felszólítja Dalmata Ferenczet, hogy készítsenaz apát nevében olyan kérvényt, melyben a rend Mátra-Verebély-nek örökre szóló adományozását kérelmezi.^ Methód rendtag 1727. máj. i-én arra buzdítja Hermann Hngel-bertet, hogy a mátra-verebélyi s esetleg egyéb szomszédos birto-kok megszerzése ügyében Bécsben az illetékes helyeken mozgo-lódjék.^ Methód 1729. jan. 20-án azon felfogásban van, hogy azapátság Verebélyt nem kapja meg. Ö a fiscustól nem fogadta ela megajánlott összeget, s erről a Pásztón levő rendtársakat érte-sítette. De ezek, mielőtt Methód levele kezökhöz jutott volna,már elfogadták a fiscus által a rendnek megajánlott összeget, dea Verebélyhez tartozó pásztói és tepkei birtokrészekről lemondtak.Ha a fiscusnak csak sejtelme lett volna arról, hogy az apátságVerebélyt megkapja, akkor — mondja Methód -— az nem töre-kedett volna ezen birtokok elszakítására.
