The third floor of the two buildings is throwninto one and the large Physical Culture hall forgirls and boys is located there, also the CookingDepartment, and the Study Hall. In the rear of the church, a little to the west, isthe Work Shop, a plain one-story frame building,the home of the Printing and Carpentry Depart-ments. Twelve years ago this building formedthe entire equipment of St. Pauls School. To the rear of the buildings is the large, airycampus, affording excellent opportunity fcr exer-cise and proper school sports. Life at St. Pauls The aim at St. Pauls is to train boys and girlsfor larger usefulness in life when they have grownto manhood and womanhood. Every effort is madeto surround them with influences, intellectual,social and spiritual, that tend to broaden and en-rich life and to develop character. The class-work occupies the pupils from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p. m,, with an hour for dinner at noon.Besides the opportunity afforded for exercisein connection with school work, special out-doorexercise is a part of the school life, thus keepingthe body vigorous and healthy. As the spirituallife of the pupil is most important, the pupils arerequired also to attend Church and Sunday Schoolregularly. An Infirmary is provided for cases of sickness,affording a means of isolating the sick and forproviding them with every attention. School Work. The school year is divided into two terms, butwritten and oral examinations are given four timesa year, enabling the teacher to grade the pupil andthe pupil to put a correct estimate on his or herwork.
