COOPER MEMORIAL COLLEGE. 17 REMARKSOn the Course of Study in the Literary Department. PREPARATORY COURSE. Students who are prepared to commence the study of Latincan enter this department and in two years complete the workthat leads up to the four year Scientific course. A Preparatorycourse of three years is required of students of the same gradewho desire to enter the CLASSICAL COURSE. This is the College course par eminence. It is designed tobe the full equivalent of similar courses in the best colleges ofthe land. In the professions, competition is so close that thor-ough preparation is required. The seven years of earnest workwhich is demanded are necessary to give this thorough prepa-ration. The stem of this course is Latin, Greek and Mathematics.The work in these lines is as extensive as the work required insimilar institutions.
