Text Appearing Before Image:
1st, 1917, and payable $1000 thereof on the 1st ofAugust in each of the years 1918-1927 inclusive, bearing interestat a rate not exceeding 4% per annum payable semi-annually.The said bonds shall be denominated on their face Andover HighSchool Loan 1917. The passageway connecting the new and the old buildings wasbuilt, some changes in the hall were made, a new floor laid, toiletrooms provided, and all repainted. A substantial brick stair-tower as a second exit was provided, as the law required. Theeast wing was converted into a workshop for manual training.The gable roof over the main stairs which somewhat obstructedthe light in the new building was removed, and a few other minorchanges made. The floor plans show how the new and the oldbuildings are now connected and made to work together as aunit. In carrying out these plans our studies showed that in the futurean excellent gymnasium could be made by throwing the firstfloor and the basement of the old building into one high room, 115
