u see I have just been allowed to write by themedico, but I feel no difference after so long a cessation,and suppose you dont see any difference in my scrawl.Yet this latest heart-spasm has pulled me down morethan any of my late attacks have done. . . . His wide knowledfje of men and books and art,and the scope and freshness of his interests, madehim one of the most delightful of partners in a talk,and my visits to Penkill must always remain amongmy most pleasant memories.
