Onthe 7th a pair of Starlings wcic Imsy getting ready a favouiitenesting hole high up an old elm. They seemed to l)e throwingout hits of the old nest. By the end of the month each nest-ing h()\ in the garden was in possession of a pair of Starl-ings. Several Hocks of I^rent Geese have been seen feedingon the shore here all this month, some of the flocks consistingof al)0ut one hundred birds.
