Fisher, 93 Secretary and Treasurer Bessie Merrill, 02 The organization of the Alumni Association waseffected June 15, 1874* since which time it has beenregularly sustained, and has aided very materially in thegrowth and life of the College. In 1893, owing to thedevelopment of a Normal Course, the degree of Bachelorof Scientific Didactics was first conferred. In 1899, ow-ing to a new School Law, this course was lengthenedout two years, the old degree of B. S. D. dropped, andthe new degree for graduates from that course, Bachelorof Literature, adopted. At present, the membership of the Alumni Associationis confined to graduates of the Classical, Scientific, andNormal Courses. The annual meeting of the Associa-tion is held during Commencement week.
