Ter-hune writes in the Sun-day School Times of thehome school for Span-ish-speaking girls whichhas been maintained forseveral years. Most ofthe twenty-two now inthe home are childrenof Cuban refugees, ofages from four to eigh-teen. They are mosttenderly cared for andtaught by two Christianwomen who are givingtheir lives to this work.The children bring withthem all the faults andfailings peculiar to neg-lected childhood ; butthe religious atmos-phere, the gentle firm-ness, and the faithfulteaching of the Biblesoon result in changedlives and habits. Allthe older girls are earn-est Christians and zeal-ous missionaries amongtheir own people. Thechildren have most im-plicit confidence inGods readiness to hearand answer prayer.
