P. Prescriptfon Work, Class Work, JfO Hours. (a.) Lectures in prescription reading, including Latin term-inology, pharmaceutical nomenclature, and Latin phra^ses. Therewill also be class drills in reading prescriptions, for which pur-pose an extensive collection of lantern views for facsimile pre-scriptions has been made. In addition, the students have theuse of thousands of prescriptions taken from the files of drugstores. This collection represents the prescription work of theprincipal cities of our State. (6.) Lectures and recitations on incompatibilities. Special attention is paid throughout the year to doses, solu-bility of chemicals, and to the composition of pharmaceuticalpreparations.

In the dispensing laboratory, students experiment with incom-patible mixtures, thereby becoming familiar with the difficultiescommonly met with at the prescrii^tion counter, and learninghow best to overcome them. Numerous prescriptions takenfrom the files of drug stores, besides many typical ones fur-nished by the instructor, are filled by the students. The acquisition of manipulative skill—skill in measuring,weighing, powder folding, pill rolling, capsule filling, etc.—con-stitutes a prominent feature of this work. W. Inorganic Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Class Work, 70 Hours. 11. Organic Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Glass Work, 65 Hours. In these two subjects recitations are conducted on the inor-ganic and organic chemicals of the U. S. Pharmacopoeia. Spe-cial attention is given to source, manufacture, permanence,impurities, industrial uses, and official standards. 12. Materia Medlca. Glass Work, 108 Hours. Lectures and recitations.
