Notes
  • Significance: The Superior Avenue Viaduct was the first high-level bridge to connect Cleveland's East and West Sides over the Cuyahoga River Valley. The viaduct was a combination iron and masonry structure, 3,211 feet long, with a swing span over the river. All but eight stones arches and the viaduct's west abutment have been removed. A local group is working to restore the viaduct for use as a city park.
  • Survey number: HAER OH-7
  • Building/structure dates: ca. 1878 Initial Construction
