He engraved a plate of the Continenceof Scipio, after Nicolas Poussin, and others aftersome of the most eminent masters. His manneris coarse and heavy, and his drawing incorrect. DU BOSC, J., was a native of France, and flour-ished about the year 1749. Among other prints,he engraved some plates of flowers, which areexecuted with the graver in a very neat style. DUHOST, Antoine, a French historical painterand lithographer, who was born at Lyons in 1769,was killed in a duel in Paris in 1825. DU BOUCHET, Louis FBANgois. See Sourches.
