hed in the 17th century, was a pupil ofSpagnoletto. He died in France some years after1657. His son, Michelagnolo Fracanzano, whowas also a painter, died in France about 1685.There is in the Madrid Gallery a picture by thelatter, representing Two Wrestlers. FRACANZANO, Francesco, the brother ofCesare Fracanzano, was a pupil of Spagnoletto andthe master of Salvator Rosa, whose sister he hadmarried. His married life was an unhappy one, asby the instigation of his wife he committed crimesfor which he suffered death at Naples in 1657. FRACASSI, Cesare, (or Fracassini,) was bomin 1838. He studied painting in Rome, where heexecuted several frescoes for San Lorenzo. Hedied in 1868. One of his most important picturesis The Martyrs of Gorinchum. FRADELLE, Henri JosErn, an historicalpainter, was bom at Lille in 1778, but passed hislife in England. From 1816 to 1855 he occasion-ally exiiibited at the Royal Academy, but his workschiefly appeared at the British Institution. He <z o< 5 c <
