Description
Letter from Eliza Sutton of South Danvers (Peabody) to the Peabody Institute Library Trustees. The letter is dated 28, January 1867.

The letter acknowledges the acceptance of the offer for a reference library. The $20,000 will come from City of Boston Bonds with the principal and interest payable in gold, together with the interest accrued since the first day of that month."

She makes some suggestions how the money and room should be. One of which is the permanent fund to be called "The Eben Dale Sutton Fund." She make several other suggestions.
