Three collections originally pub. separately. The first and second are reprinted from the editions of 1656 and 1658; the third combines the material of four editions, 1640, 1641, 1654, and 1663. They have been ascribed to Sir John Mennes and James Smith, but all three include the work of others
Retains the preface, memoirs, and notes of the edition of 1817, attributed to Edward Dubois and Thomas Park. cf. Dict. nat. biog., etc
