Under a lowering dusky?gray ^orm^cloud white clouds are massed above a far horizon. Abroad foreground of green pa^ure or wild land, travsersed diagonally by a wandering, irregular path,shares with the atmosphere the feeling of wetnessafter a passing shower. Across it in the middledi^ance a line of dark woods on high land, casingtheir shadow forward, are seen before and above alow^lying light landscape, illumined fi:om the Hghterclouds of the sky, and in the di^ance beyond rise thetowers, domes, and the mass of lower buildings of thecity, in silhouette on high land across the valley.
