Here are various Etruscantombs containing their original statues and ornamenta-tion, excavated within Tuscany and removed hither intactto this spot. Specially trained and selected custodianswith proper knowledge will conduct the visitor over theseremarkable tombs, which are well worthy of inspection.The lengthy suite of rooms on the ground floor is filledwith a valuable collection of cinerary urns, vases, jewellery,utensils, harness, and other domestic objects brought fromthe sites excavated in recent years, chiefly at Vetuionia,near Grosseto. All the objects shown bear descriptivelabels, and the attendants are always ready to explainthese important relics of the ancient and mysterious civil-ization of Etruria.
