He is president of the American Tubeand Iron Company of Middle-town, president of theCameron Furnace of the same place, and a directorin the Commonwealth Guarantee Trust and Safe De-posit Company of Harrisburg, of the Farmers Bankof Middletown, of the First National Bank of Le-banon, Pa., of the Lochiel Rolling-Mill Company,and has been a director of the Harrisburg, Ports-mouth, Mount Joy and Lancaster Railroad Companyfor over twenty years. He is also a member of theState Board of Agriculture of Pennsylvania, by ap-pointment of the Governor, and vice-president of theState Agricultural Society. Though politically a Republican, he has alwaysdeclined public position, feeling at the same time awarm interest in State and national politics.
