  • Significance: This building contributes to the integrity of design, workmanship, setting, and sense of time and place of Singer's Tavern Group. / The main lodge building at Singer's Lake Crescent Tavern is one of the earliest constructed structures in the resort complex. The original lodge was completed in 1915, along with twenty small sleeping cabins. In the late 1910s or early 1920s, a one-story addition was completed, doubling the size of the present dining room. In 1949, a major two-story addition was constructed on the south side of the existing lodge. Periodically, several small alterations have been made to the rear southeast section of the building. Since establishment of the resort, the main lodge has housed dining facilities and been the focal point of numerous social events and business meetings, including a 1937 meeting where President Franklin Roosevelt and key public officials engaged in discussions leading to the establishment of Olympic National Park.
