Curtis « Velasquez and Murillo » (p. 23g n° 3o2) calls this picture :« St.-Francis de Paul »and says that it is probably the picture called « St.-Fran-cis at his devotions » exhibited at the British Institution in 1852 by FrederickPerkins, and in 1862 by George Perkins.
