223CONE AND TUBE WINDERS. Although these machines are adapted to thewinding of all kinds of yarns, they are especiallygood for soft hosiery and underwear yarns whichshould be handled so as to retain their f^^ll strengthand elasticity. OPEN WIND-This feature of our machine, to-gether with its general improved construction, en-ables it to wind the most delicate yarns. The openwind with its irregular coils is of great advantage, asstretching of the yarn is avoided and it unwindsfreely in the knitting process. CONE AND PARALLEL WIND-These machines arebuilt for winding either cones or parallel tubes, fromcops, bobbins, spools or skeins. STOP MOTIONS-These are applied to all ma-chines. The Detector Holders and Drop Wires aresupplied for one or more ply, as required. When athread breaks, the individual drum stops, thus pre-venting waste or single. The Stop Motions arequick and positive, and the piecing up is very easilydone. FRAMING AND CONSTRUCTION-The Winders arestrong and durable. No wood
