Notes
  • Significance: The Waste Water Treatment Plant (Building No. 3016) was built in two phases, the first in 1950, the second in 1953. It represents Ellsworth's significant growth in both size and function during the Cold War era. By 1955, Ellsworth was one of the Air Force's major bomber bases, and also served as an early repository for components of the nation's nuclear weapons stockpile.
  • Survey number: HABS SD-21-L
  • Building/structure dates: 1950-1953 Initial Construction
