Leaf ccclxxxxviii trimmed down and remargined. Blind impressions from bearer types on leaf xcvii. Binding precludes inspection of sewing structure. Leaf dimensions: 286 x 204 mm (temoin on fol. cccviii shows former dimensions of at least 296 x 209 mm).
PROVENANCE: Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy Q.403.98 FOLIO with bookplate of Charles William Dyson Perrins. Modern pencil collation notes on front free endpaper recto. Purchased from Maggs in March 1954.
BINDING: Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy Q.403.98 FOLIO bound in early/contemporary pigskin paneled and tooled in blind over beveled wooden boards. Unidentified armorial super-ex-libris on both covers. Spine ruled in blind with title stamped in gilt on orange leather label.
