Edmund Quincy sends some more editorial for Latimer's journal, although he doesn't know whether or not it appeared, was deferred, or given up. In the latter case, Edmund Quincy wishes to have his editorials preserved in case "Garrison goes off on that dreadful New York expedition." Edmund Quincy has sent to Cambridge for facts relative to W. Peckman(?)'s escape from St. Domingo. Edmund Quincy wants Maria Weston Chapman to let him have some of her old letters describing the scenery (of St. Domingo), "just to warm up my imagination." Edmund Quincy could not come to town because of a swollen face. He wants news and Latimer's Journal. Edmund Quincy comments: "By the way, I don't like the 'North Star' coming before 'Latimers Journal'---but can't stop to explain. Is Caroline actually editing it?"
