This letter is concerned with domestic matters. Deborah Weston says about Mary [Gray Chapman]'s condition: "I call her very poorly." She describes Anne [Chapman]'s gowns and appearance. Anne Chapman "longs to get home to Weymouth, ...She has bought Hawthorne's new book to delect herself with tomorrow." [The book mentioned is Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The Marble Faun," published in 1860.]
