The chief characteristics of William T. Baker were rigidhonesty and the moral courage to assert and maintain his con-victions. He was true hearted. In his family life he was oneof the most tender and unselfish of men. Dignified, courteous,and of unfailing good humor, he was the ideal gentleman inbusiness. His influence and example will live long in thememory of his fellow directors, each of whom was proud tocall him friend. He has gone to the reward God has prepared for just men.
