GAGE. The report was carefully prepared, andcontained illustrations of charts takenfrom trains in service. The discussion of the report was de-ferred until to-morrows session. given the members and their ladies bythe hotel management in the banquetroom. The hotel orchestra was in attend-ance, and an enjoyable time was had. Thursdays Session. Convention opened at 9 A. M., SecondVice-President Blackall in the chair.Chairman Parker opened the discussion. Mr. Frazer said the horizontal type ofrecorder had given good service on theSouthern Pacific. The speed of the chartwas three feet per hour, and gave detailedresults. Mr. McKee said he had had severalyears experience witli the revolving disktype, but was waiting to see the develop-ment of the horizontal type, as that gavepromise of superiority over the revolvingdisk.
