It is not prob-able that cows handled as those shown in Fig. 30 would ever get intothe condition of the one shown in Fig. 29, but the proprietor of thisclean dairy considered it necessary to wash and wipe the udders andflanks before every milking, in this manner. He is taking no risks inlives of infants who may be fed on milk from this dairy. Figs. 35 and 36 show a clean exterior and interior.
