1877 dans la RevueCeltique daprès un manuscrit de Londres; mais M. Windisch latout-à-fait mis en lumière par ses Irische Texte qui en 1880 ontouvert une ère nouvelle aux études celtiques, et qui dans lhistoirede ces études forment une date comme la publication de la Gram-matica Celtica en 1853. M. Windisch publiait ce récit daprèsdeux textes, lun le MS. Egerton 1782 du British Museum (XV^ etXVL siècles), déjà connu par lédition de M. Ed. Müller; lautre,du Zeôor nahUidhre, compilé vers lan 1110. Ce second texte apour lui une date plus ancienne, non pas de rédaction, mais decopie matérielle, car il est résumé et abrégé. Quant au textedEgerton, M. Windisch ne manquait pas de remarquer que malgrésa langue plus récente, il repose sur une rédaction ancienne.
