On the contrary, to the honorof mercantile ambition and intelligence, the field of commercialoperations has presented by far the largest measure of usefulnessto the aspiring architect; and it is no wonder that the talentedand active of this profession are now found almost exclusivelywithin the orbit of peaceful mechanism.
