  • Significance: The first post administration buildings, designed for a one-company post. Commands a strategic hillside view of original post, parade ground, Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Completed April 24, 1902, from Quartermaster General's Office (QMGO) Plan No. 122A. Original cost: $4,077. Dimensions of original: 40' x 32'. Two-story and partial basement frame structure on brick foundation. Lapped cedar siding. Slate gable roof with two corbelled cap chimneys at either gable end. Double-panelled entrance door with transom. Six-over-six light, double-hung sash, "Palladian" windows in attic gables. Full-width front porch with standing seam metal roof, square posts, pipe railings. Central hall plan.
