Another thing, the plowing matches we used to have years agodid a great work in teaching the boys how to plow, and so on, and it alsoteaches us how to grow good crops. These are things that we ought notto lose sight of. There is one part of our Superintendents report thatdeserves a great deal of thought, and that is in connection with the insuranceproposition: and in order to bring that more prominently before thi^ con-vention for discussion, I move That the Superintendents insurance propo-sition, as stated in his report, be and is herebv endorsed and approved ofby this Association, and that he is hereby requested to devise an insurancescheme for the approval and acceptance of such Agricultural Societies aswish to adopt it throughout the Province. A. C. Geiffin : This resohition is premature. Each and every societyshould make provision for the wet days themselves. I therefore move mamendment that this be laid over for further discussion. P. S. EwTNG : I am in favor of the proposition.

It is an insurance against wind and weather—they have aDominion charter, and are now organized. A Delegate: Can you name the company? A Delegate : No, but I think their headquarters are at Woodstock. The Peesidext : There are quite a number of these Insurance Com-panies. It would be better perhaps, to appoint a committee to enquire intothis matter, or to authorize the Superintendent to send circulars to the Sec-retaries of the various societies throughout the Province and find out theiropinions upon this subject. J. Lockie Wilson : I simply wished to bring this insurance proposi-tion before the convention. A number of societies had written about it,asking if something could be done.
