Notes
  • Significance: The building of the P.H. and F.M. Roots Company, while typical of 19th century industrial structures, are significant not for their architecture but for their association with Philander H. and Francis M. Roots and their product. Roots blowers were the first commercially successful positive principle rotary blowers manufactured in the United States, and the Roots Blower Company was Connersville's first major industry.
  • Unprocessed Field note material exists for this structure: FN-21
  • Survey number: HAER IN-3
