Notes
  • Significance: It is typical of early 20th century flour mills found throughout the Mid-Atlantic states. It was originally steam powered and later converted to electricity. The Patterson Mill served farmers in the vicinity of northern Westmoreland and southern Indiana counties and originally used in the Pennsylvania Railroad to ship its goods. Although the processing of grain in the mill ceased in the mid-1970s, all of the milling machinery remains in place.
