Notes
  • Significance: The Beverly Shores Railroad Station is one of nine stations in the Spanish Mission style built in 1939 by Leo W. Post, President of the Beverly Shores Construction Co. for Samuel Insull of the South Shore Railroad. The "Insull Spanish" style became a favorite of the North Shore and the South Shore Lines, both headed by Insull. Only two of these stations remain, the Beverly Shores Station and a significantly altered station in Highland Park, Illinois.
  • Survey number: HABS IN-262
  • Building/structure dates: 1929 Initial Construction
