The de-stroyer then passed over to the spot where the sub-marine had submerged, dropped several depth charges,and described a circle in order to pass over thesame spot again. While the Tucker was thusmanoeuvering, the submarine came to the surfaceagain and the Tucker opened fire, one of theshells apparently hitting it.
